Destiny 2 Season of Plunder: Best Rolls for Every New Weapon

Ahoy, Guardians! 🏴‍☠️ Season of Plunder may be long gone, but its treasure trove of weapons still holds up in 2026. I've been digging through my vault and revisiting these guns, and let me tell you—some of them are absolute keepers. Whether you're a returning player or a new Light looking to fill out your arsenal, here's my personal take on every new weapon from that pirate-themed season, complete with the rolls I'd chase. And yes, I still call Pizzicato-22 the "Pizza-22." Sue me.

Whistler's Whim

Lightweight Bows got a buff back then, and they're still solid. Whistler's Whim is a fun one. Rapid Hit and Archer's Tempo is a classic combo, but don't sleep on Kill Clip. Since bows reload after every shot, Kill Clip basically gives you a 33% damage boost after each kill. That's huge in both PvE and PvP. Gutshot Straight is interesting, but until I see exact numbers, Kill Clip wins.

The Militia's Birthright

With Concussion Grenades out of the perk pool, it's easier to get the ammo type you want. Slideways is back on Lightweight Grenade Launchers for the first time since Ignition Code, making this a great Nightfall chase. If you hate Slideways, Ambitious Assassin with Multikill Clip or Frenzy works. Grave Robber with Pugilist or Swashbuckler is also nice. Honestly, any roll is useful.

Pure Poetry

This is one of those playlist weapons with a massive perk pool, so grinding for a specific roll is painful. It's decent, but I'd rather use last season's Austringer. Outlaw and Perpetual Motion are the best in the left column. Ambitious Assassin can now overfill the mag to 150%, which is neat. The right column has Frenzy, Rampage, Multikill Clip, Swashbuckler, plus Under-Over and Pugilist. Under-Over is niche, and Pugilist is for melee builds. Good luck getting the combo you want.

Allied Demand

An Adaptive Frame single-shot Sidearm—we hadn't seen one in ages. If you have Buzzard, just use that (unless it's sunset). Allied Demand has Under-Over (bonus damage to overshields) and Gutshot Straight (bonus body damage, less aim assist). Both are okay, but Frenzy and Multikill Clip are more reliable.

Boudica-C

Much easier to get than Allied Demand since it drops from Legendary Engrams. Smaller perk pool, too. Ambitious Assassin pairs great with Multikill Clip. Frenzy is always welcome. Pugilist + Swashbuckler is a fun melee combo. And Osmosis is there for when you need an extra element. For PvP, Moving Target, Threat Detector, and Gutshot Straight are solid. Hip-Fire Grip is underrated on sidearms.

Pizzicato-22

It's forever the Pizza-22 to me. First 900 RPM SMG in forever, and it's a Suros weapon with Suros Synergy. I don't even care about the perks. But the perks aren't amazing: Ambitious Assassin and Multikill Clip are there, but Pugilist and Swashbuckler are in the right column with Threat Detector and Osmosis. Since 900 RPM SMGs were a Crucible staple, I see this as a close-range PvP pick. Hip-Fire Grip + Demolitionist or Swashbuckler, and you're good to go.

Ammit AR2

Funny how the best Solar Auto Rifle arrived after the Solar 3.0 rework, but better late than never. This Omolon Precision Auto has great stats and can roll Incandescent for Solar synergies. Ambitious Assassin and Surplus are top left-column perks. If you don't want Incandescent, Pugilist, Adrenaline Junkie, and Adaptive Munitions are all great. Surplus + Pugilist is a fantastic combo. For PvP, Dynamic Sway Reduction + Tap The Trigger + Omolon Origin Trait turns this into a laser.

Yesteryear

Gambit playlist weapons got a sprint-speed Origin Trait, which is nice. But the real draw is Desperado—previously only on The Messenger and New Purpose. Problem: Yesteryear has 12 perks in each column, so getting Outlaw + Desperado is a nightmare unless you love Gambit. On the bright side, it has tons of great perks: Focused Fury, Rampage, Pugilist, Perpetual Motion, Dragonfly, Wellspring, Golden Tricorn, and Ambitious Assassin. You're unlikely to get a bad roll, but the god roll is elusive.

Mindbender's Ambition

Mindbender's used to terrorize the Crucible, but times change. Quickdraw is gone from shotguns, and Aggressive Frames are less common. Still, you can get Pugilist + One-Two Punch, making it great for melee builds. Swashbuckler and Incandescent are also there. For PvP, Fragile Focus helps with range if you must use an Aggressive Frame.

The Inquisitor

Opening Shot is still great on a slug shotgun, and The Inquisitor has amazing stats. But it lacks Slideshot or Snapshot Sights. Instead, you get Perpetual Motion and Pulse Monitor—not ideal for Crucible. In PvE, though, Demolitionist + Golden Tricorn is a first for a special ammo weapon. Golden Tricorn outperforms Adrenaline Junkie on grenade or melee kills, and Demolitionist gives grenade energy. That combo might make Trials worth it.

Out Of Bounds

If you wanted an Arc Funnelweb, I have bad news. Out Of Bounds has worse stats and is a Crucible-only playlist reward, meaning a huge perk pool. Good luck grinding. On the bright side, it has Omolon Fluid Dynamics and can roll Demolitionist + Golden Tricorn. It's Arc, so it's good for Arc 3.0 builds regardless.

Taipan-4FR

Taipan isn't a Stormchaser, so it won't deal as much damage. But it has Triple-Tap, which pairs beautifully with the Veist Stinger Origin Trait, and you can choose Focused Fury, Firing Line, or Frenzy. I'm a Focused Fury fan. For PvP, Snapshot Sights or Opening Shot are your best bets. The left column is mostly meh, but Fragile Focus is okay if you need range.

Roar Of The Bear

This is still a big, stupid Rocket Launcher with a massive blast radius. The revamped version has arguably the best perk pool ever. Want homing rockets? Tracking Module. Faster rockets? Impulse Amplifier. More rockets? Field Prep and Ambitious Assassin. The right column is stacked too—every perk offers something except Chain Reaction, which is useless because the blast radius is already huge.
