Destiny 2: How To Get Mech Armor Sets During Festival Of The Lost

Destiny 2's Festival of the Lost Mech Armor Sets offer Gundam-inspired cosmetics for Titans, Hunters, and Warlocks via Silver or Bright Dust.

As a long-time Guardian, I always look forward to the annual Festival of the Lost because it brings some of the boldest cosmetic armor in Destiny 2. This year, in 2026, the Mech Armor Sets are still one of the most eye-catching additions to the Eververse lineup. These anime robot-style ornaments give all three classes a distinct Mobile Suit Gundam-inspired look, and I have already seen plenty of fireteam members dressed like armored mechs in the Tower.

The Mech Armor collection is split across the three Guardian classes. Titans receive the Mechanized Protector set, Hunters receive the Machined Skirmisher set, and Warlocks receive the Mobile Exoskeleton set. Each set includes five universal ornament pieces that go over your existing helmet, gauntlets, chest armor, leg armor, and class item.

Class Ornament Set Name Visual Style
Titan Mechanized Protector Heavy mech, mobile armor
Hunter Machined Skirmisher Agile robot skirmisher
Warlock Mobile Exoskeleton Sleek exoskeleton

From my experience, these are purely cosmetic transmog items. They do not provide any stat boosts, Power level increases, or gameplay advantages. If you are worried about changing your build, you can relax: the Mech Armor pieces only alter your appearance. This makes them perfect for both PvE and PvP fashion without interfering with your equipped gear. I often use them in Strikes, Crucible matches, and seasonal activities because they work with any armor set in my inventory.

The main way to obtain the Mech Armor Sets is through the Eververse cash shop. The three bundles are usually available only during Festival of the Lost, so if you want a specific class set, you need to pick it up before the event ends. At the time these ornaments were introduced, each bundle cost 2,500 Silver, which is roughly $25 USD. That price point has remained the standard for many premium ornament sets in Destiny 2, although I always recommend checking the current Silver rate before buying. These cosmetics are exclusive to the event, which makes them rare and highly sought after by collectors.

If you do not want to spend real money, there is another route. Players can spend Bright Dust to acquire the sets when they are available in the Eververse rotation. Bright Dust is earnable in-game through seasonal challenges, bounties, and event objectives, so dedicated Guardians can unlock the Mech Armor ornaments without opening their wallets. I always suggest prioritizing the pieces you actually want, because Bright Dust can disappear quickly if you try to buy every cosmetic in the store. During Festival of the Lost, Eva Levante and the event card often provide extra ways to stockpile Bright Dust, which can soften the grind considerably.

One of my favorite details about the Mech Armor Sets is how customizable they are. Each ornament can be shaded independently, so you can create a unique color scheme that matches your favorite weapon, ship, or Sparrow. The customization is not limited to the event duration, either. Once you unlock the ornaments, you can apply shaders and change their appearance whenever you want through the appearance customization menu. This gives the Mech Armor Sets long-term value beyond the Halloween season.

If you are a fan of mecha anime or simply want a striking look for your Guardian, I recommend grabbing at least one of these ornament sets during the next Festival of the Lost. The combination of detailed robot styling, class-specific design, and full transmog compatibility makes the Mech Armor collection one of the most memorable cosmetic releases in Destiny 2. Just remember to check the store before the event's weekly reset, because once Festival of the Lost ends, these sets typically disappear until the following year.
